Our Autumn Edit

We’re sad to say we didn’t have much sunshine in London this summer, but as the leaves fall and we are well and truly into October, we are excited to embrace the new season, and transform our homes into the perfect autumnal haven.

This season we’re all about darker neutrals, tactile textures and warming natural materials. Here’s five ideas to pull them all together using our Autumn picks from a few of our favourite stores.

Cosy throws and blankets…

This wouldn’t be an Autumn Edit without a good throw (or two)! Not only are throws and blankets a simple way to incorporate some new colours and textures to your home, they’re perfect for cosying up on the sofa as the nights get colder.

A basket for all those blankets…

When you’re not using all your new throws, you can bundle them up in this Woven Rattan Belly Basket, for a tidy, effortlessly styled look. (Try rolling instead of folding!)

Lamps and candles for cosy lighting…

Brighten up the long, dark evenings and add some ambient lighting with a bulb lamp tucked up on your bookshelf. For a softer glow, try your summer drinks tray with a collection of candles and tealights.

Add in the warmth of wood...

And we don’t just mean popping another log on the fire. Centre your living space around a wooden coffee table like this one from West Elm. For a toastier, autumnal coffee table, top with auburn and umber accessories – you can swap these for more seasonal pieces in the Spring and Summer.

Add texture and tone to your tablescape…

Whether you’re having friends and family over for Sunday lunch, or are just looking to elevate your mid-week meal, some new stoneware is the perfect addition to any table setting.
